Once upon a time in a snow less land there was a village. Late one evening an evil hedgehog conjured a bitter storm over the village and all it's surrounding land. The storm brought inches of snow and snow days for the village children. The children rejoiced in the lack of school and took the the streets with sleds and saucers. Only to return to the village homes cold and wet because they had no clothing equipped for snow. Unhappy with frolicking children the evil hedgehog struck again. This time with freezing rain placing a layer of ice on top of the snow and making it unfit for sledding.
Village roads went unplowed and mass transit screeched to a halt. Trapped inside their homes the villagers began to go insane. They nearly succumbed to couch potatoism from the availability of television, internet and snacks.
Alas, when nearly all hope was lost the icy fist released it's grip on the land and the great melt began. The villagers cheered the return of the wet muddy lands they adored and once more ventured from their homes. The disaster of the four day snow plague narrowly averted!
